Event Management is defined as the Event Management can be done with the help of event management team whose size can vary from one or two members or as many as thousand members depending on the size of the event to be organized.
Today more than 500 billion US dollars are being spent annually on Event Management for organizing the different types of events worldwide. The various application of the Event Management includes management of wide range of events like birthday parties, weddings, management of exhibitions or trade fairs, fashion shows, musical night, theme parties, festivals, product launching, or even organizing of Olympic Games and many more.
The person who is mainly responsible for the organizing an event is known as Event Manager. He/she supervises the event through analyzing the various situations like site surveying, site designing, budget of the client, technical design, health & security, crowd management, checking for sound, light & video at the event site and security, etc.
A person who is interested to make a career in this field must complete a graduate degree or diploma from recognized universities or colleges. The study of Event Management includes developing the various skills like organizational skills, technical knowledge, personal relationship, marketing skills, human relations, budgeting, risk management, etc. in the students.
The various career opportunities which are available after completing the course include career in Event Management Consultancy, hotel, travel & hospital industry, Advertising industry, corporations, Event Budgeting & Accounting Companies and media, etc.
