What is a Salary?

Answer:
A salary is a way that an employee gets paid,
at regular, agreed-upon intervals.  Many salaried employees do not get paid for overtime, although some employers do give overtime pay on top of a salary.

Employees receiving a salary must be put in a minimum amount of hours at work, and are often expected to go above this amount of time if the job requires it.

Employees who receive a salary are often provided with sick days and vacation days, and, as long as they do not go over the amount of days off provided, they will continue to receive the same amount of money on payday.
