What is a Job Interview?

Answer:
A job interview involves a conversation between
a potential employer and someone applying for a job.  Job interviews can be casual or very formal, and can take place on the phone, in an office, at a restaurant, or in many other situations.

The employer usually directs the job interview, asking the candidate for the job questions about his suitability for the job.

However, the person applying for the job generally has a chance to ask his own questions, as he tries to see if the job would be a good fit from his perspective.  More than providing "right" or "wrong" answers to the questions most interviewers are looking how personable or able you are to interact with others.  Many employers conduct a series of job interviews, with some being group interviews or interviews over the phone, and others being individual interviews in person.
