What is a Headhunter?

Answer:
A headhunter is an informal term for a job recruiter
Headhunters are known for matching corporations with the professionals who can best fill their vacancies.  Corporations often use individual headhunters or headhunting services because they can avoid a lot of the tedious work of searching for potential employees.

People looking for employment often use a headhunter because the headhunter has access to more employment vacancies and is skilled at matching prospective employees with their perfect job opportunities.

Depending on the headhunter or headhunting service, the fee is either paid by the corporation offering the vacancy, or the person looking for a job.  In addition, the headhunter is sometimes paid only if a successful match is found, and sometimes is paid regardless of whether or not the vacancy is filled or a job is found.
