An architect is someone who plans and designs buildings. Once the client accepts a design, therefore choosing an architect, the architect works with the construction professionals to make sure that no alterations are made which might displease the client or lead to compromised structural integrity. Architects may be work on several different projects for different clients at the same time. Before someone can become a practicing architect, she must obtain certain certifications, depending on the state and city where she is located.
