The cleaning usually involves scraping or removing dental plaque and rinsing with fluoride. In addition to the physical cleaning of your teeth the Hygienist will survey your teeth and gums. They're looking for cavities or gum diseases that inturn are relayed to the Dentist during your consultation. A Hygienist plays a very important role in dental health.
