What are the Job Duties of an Account Executive?

Answer:
Although account executives in different business settings
will have varying job responsibilities, there are some job duties that are common to all account executives.  Account executives are assigned specific clients and act as an advocate for the client and a liaison between the client and the company, so it is important that they are both competent in their field and at providing excellent customer service.

Account executives must have the proper credentials for their field, sometimes including tests or examinations.  In addition, account executives must be familiar with their clients' profiles, in order to best serve their clients and look out for the clients' best interest.  Depending on the firm, an account executive may be assigned clients, or may have to recruit his or her own client base.
