What are the Job Duties of a Web Developer? |
|
Answer:
A web developer is a person who is in the business of providing services to build and maintain websites, usually high-end websites. A web developer is different from a webmaster, as a web developer usually has more skills that relate to web design and development. Large corporations and serious businesses usually employ web development firms instead of an individual to act as a webmaster. A web developer's duties include building the web pages from the beginning – including layout, appearance, and function. The client's needs and audience are taken into account, and the website should reflect what will be attractive to the target demographic. Since users will quickly leave a website that is difficult to navigate, doesn't show up well on all browsers, or is time-consuming, it is important for a web developer to make the layout as simple and user-friendly – while still attractive and sophisticated – as possible.
