What are the Job Duties of a Technical Writer?

Answer:
A technical writer is responsible for writing technical instructions, information, or documentation
Technical writers write for various target audiences and need to make sure that their information is clear to the intended readers.  Technical writers also need to have some knowledge of the field for which they are writing.  After doing initial research and writing a technical document, a technical writer submits it to editors, and if it is approved, it gets published.

Some examples of what a technical writer might work on are user manuals for software and electronics, machinery documentation, and engineering or construction specifications.  Technical writers also frequently work in the fields of physics, biology, chemistry, engineering, technology, and medicine, among others.  Technical writers can freelance or work for a business or organization.
