What are the Job Duties of a Recruiter?

Answer:
A recruiter can be an individual working alone
or for a company whose primary job duties are to match up qualified people with job openings.  Job recruiters often freelance, working with more than one company as needed.  Job recruiters are often paid on contingency – if the recruiter finds a qualified person to fill an open position, he or she gets paid, and otherwise the company does not pay the recruiter.

Recruiters must be able to successfully match prospective employees with open positions.  In order to do this, a recruiter must be aware of the skills needed in different fields and positions, and be able to see the potential in candidates.  To be successful, recruiters must build a reputation as someone who can successfully fill positions.
