What are Salary Requirements?

Answer:
Job applicants are sometimes asked to state their salary requirements
upon applying.  This is the amount of money required for you to take a certain job.  Companies are often prepared to negotiate, so stating a higher amount than you would be willing to work for is recommended by many experts.  Then, most likely, the company will state a lower amount and you will meet somewhere in the middle.

When asked to state salary requirements, some people answer with “negotiable” in order to avoid appearing too far on either end of the spectrum.  It is a good idea to research average salaries for the field and level of work that you are applying for, so that you have a good idea of what reasonable salary requirements are.
