Can I File for Unemployment Online?

Answer:
In the United States, unemployment applications are
managed by the individual states, so the application process varies around the country.  Although online applications are not provided by all states yet, more and more states are allowing people to apply for unemployment benefits online.

Filing for unemployment online allows people to skip standing in long lines and possibly save some of their sanity, but will not necessarily be processed any faster than paper applications.  People who file for unemployment online may need to eventually come into the state employment office for an interview before they begin to receive unemployment benefits.

Usually, online applications for unemployment benefits can be found on a state's official government website.
