What personal skills or qualities are needed to become a Financial Analyst?

Answer:
A Financial Analyst is one who is engaged in
making assessments and evaluations of companies and businesses for investment purposes; either on the buying or the selling side.

Financial Analysts typically work for banks, insurance companies, securities, and similar businesses involved in making investments in other industries or firms.

Financial Analysts are generally employed in one of two financial investment scenarios; that is, on the buying side of the equation, or on the selling side of the equation.

The Financial Analysts involved in the buying side are interested in evaluating a potential investment opportunity for their client or employer investments.

The Financial Analysts involved in the selling side are interested in strategies for selling securities products for their clients or employer.

Financial Analysts need to be educated and trained in the particular venue they intend to seek employment; that is, on the buying or selling side of the equation.

In addition, Financial Analysts must complete the normal Financial academic studies, including:
- Economics
- Accounting
- Business Finances
- Business Law
- Securities
- Stock Market
- Business Ethics
- Other related areas of study

Financial Analysts, of course, also need to be comfortable with numbers and all things relating to the world of business finances.
