What personal skills or qualities are needed to become a Business Manager?

Answer:
A Business Manager is one who is engaged in
managing, controlling, and otherwise carrying out typical business processes, with focus on profits, improvements, and efficiencies.

A Business Manager might be employed by small or large companies, depending on the nature of the industry.  Any business with employees, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, and similar segments are likely to need Business Managers to keep all the wheels turning in the right direction.

Business Managers need to understand the industry and business they are attempting to manage, of course.  And, they need to have general business savvy to know how the various segments of business operate; so they can effectively contribute to the overall synergy of the company.

Business Managers typically study such topics as Business Law, Economics, Accounting, Corporate Law, Business Practices, Customer Service, and similar subjects.

Business Managers should also be friendly, personable, and approachable, since their work brings them into frequent contact with other members of the business or with clients and customers.

Business Managers might sometimes be involved in sales strategies, product and process improvements, and other areas of business enhancement efforts.
