What is Sexual Harassment?

Answer:
Sexual harassment is a serious subject that
is poorly understood by many people. There is great disagreement on the exact definition of what constitutes sexual harassment, and the debate seems to be ongoing. It is usually assumed that the victims of sexual harassment are women, but men can be the subject of sexual harassment as well.

Sexual harassment can include personal comments that are unwelcome, inappropriate jokes or comments, unwanted physical contact, pornography, or a direct sexual request or attack.

Each company or organization usually has a workplace policy about what constitutes sexual harassment and what steps will be taken to deal with it. Because of some very serious sexual harassment lawsuits, most companies now take sexual harassment in the workplace very seriously.
