What is a Supervisor?

Answer:
In a business or an organization, a Supervisor
generally has some management responsibilities, although usually not as many as a manager.  A supervisor, also known as a team leader or foreman, has a group of employees that he is responsible for.

A supervisor's responsibilities usually include instructing his subordinates in their tasks, being responsible for their work, and taking disciplinary steps if needed.  A supervisor  delegates tasks and is responsible for making sure those tasks are done in a satisfactory manner.

Becoming a supervisor is often the first step in climbing the ladder to management in a particular company or organization.  Supervisors have many of the responsibilities of managers, but usually don't hire employees directly or have authority over budgetary issues.
