What is a Career Fair?

A career fair is a way for prospective employers
and employees to find each other.  At a career fair, also called a job fair, people looking for a job can talk to representatives and recruiters from different companies to find out if these companies might be a good match for them.


Potential employees can also drop off resumes, pick up applications, and get information and brochures from the companies' representatives. 

Recruiters and company representatives benefit from career fairs as well, by having a large pool of potential employees to talk to and try to identify good candidates for their position.  These representatives can take the information of promising applicants and follow up later by offering a job interview or somehow furthering the application process.
